We went to some gorgeous beaches on the west coast in the Gulf of Mexico.Maderia Beach in St. Petersburg (near Tampa) and Sarasota Beach.

We stayed in a cabin on a bayou about two miles from the beach.Several birds paid us a visit including heron and egrets.

At first, Katie only seemed interested in Dad's flip flopShe was a little hesitant to crawl onto the sand, but when she finally ventured out, I couldn't keep up with her.
I love the feeling of being wrapped up in a warm towel after swimming.Katie was tuckered out.

the beaches are beautiful, huh. Makes you wonder how you ever lived without them. I really like that first picture you took of the beach with the big puffy cloud.
