Packing Up

Note to Self: Packing and organizing takes more time with a baby...

actually, everything takes longer with a baby.

I must remind myself that motherhood is a reminder to take a deep breath, slow down, and enjoy the journey.

Mother's Day

Jonathan gave me flowers for my first mother's day
I love being a mom!

Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse

One more sightseeing tour of New England before we move...
We vistied the Portsmouth Lighthouse in New Hampshire

We ate at our favorite resturant "Weathervane" in Maine.
The fish and chips are so good that I often forget that I hate seafood.

The lighthouse is located at a Coast Guard station and is closed to the public.
We got a private tour anyway. Lucky Us!

Jonathan after the final climb at the very top of the lighthouse

Exploring the remains of an old fort.
It is the site of one of the first battles of the American Revolution.
Paul Revere rode to Portsmouth from Boston to warn the colonists of British plans to reinforce the fort. The colonists raided the fort and successfully made off with supplies.
Go Patriots!

Entrance to the old "William and Mary Fort" where the lighthouse is located.
Even though there are over 300 lighthouses along the coast of Florida, I doubt they will hold as much historic charm as some of these old New England lighthouses. They are simply the best!

Graduation Party

We celebrated Jonathan's upcoming graduation in Utah.
He has worked tirelessly these past four years, and it was a happy moment to celebrate with family (even the Alaskans) and most of his friends who were in the area.

Long time friends, Gerald and Adoree
Kevin and Chrissy

Ice Cream Sundaes with Brownies, J's Favorite Dessert

I asked him, "If you could have any dessert in the world,
what would it be?"
Without hesitation, "Brownies and ice cream."

Jonathan has such simple requests. So easy to please.

Thirty Candles, Whoa Baby!

He got them all in one breath...

What did he wish for? A Lambergini? A Yacht to Sail the Florida Keys?

No, I'm guessing he only wished to graduate on time.

Looks like it might come true!

Happy 30th Birthday (next month)
More Celebrations to Come...
